Celebrate the Legacy
In 2026, the United States Air Force Academy will mark a historic milestone: 50 years of women as part of the Long Blue Line. We invite you to share original artwork that captures the experiences, accomplishments, and enduring legacy of USAFA women—through the power of art.
Who Can Submit
Open to USAFA women and those meaningfully connected to their 50-year journey—whether through family, community, or professional ties. Artwork or the accompanying artist statement should demonstrate a personal connection to at least one USAFA woman.

Artist Notifications: December 8–15, 2025 — all participants will be notified of jury results

What to Submit
We welcome original artwork in any medium that can be clearly and accurately captured in a high-quality image suitable for digital display and an 11x14" print.

Submit images for up to 3 artworks

For each artwork, include 1 required overall image and up to 2 optional detail images

Maximum file size: 25 MB per image
-
Accepted file types: JPG, PNG, or TIFF
-
Aspect Ratio: Flexible (depends on the artwork)​

If your work includes AI-generated elements, please note this clearly in your submission
How to Submit
For each artwork you wish to submit, please:

Click the button below to complete a separate Art Entry Form (one form per artwork; up to three total entries allowed)

Upload one required image of the artwork, plus up to two optional detail shots of that same piece

Submit your artist statement and, if you wish, sales information

Where Your Work Will Be Seen
Submitted images of artwork will be included in a multi-platform exhibit with wide visibility during and beyond the 50-year celebrations:

Displayed in a digital gallery on the USAFA Women website (available for at least one year)

Presented as part of a digital slideshow during programs at Arnold Hall and Polaris Hall, USAFA (April 23–26, 2026)

Shown in a looping digital display in the celebration lobby area; some works may also be printed (up to 11" × 14") to complement digital presentations

Exhibited as a curated selection in the Fairchild Hall Art Gallery, with curation by USAFA faculty. The gallery is open to cadets, faculty, staff, and visitors
Artist Rights and Use
By submitting, artists confirm they are the creator and copyright holder of the work and grant USAFA Women a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display submitted images (with credit) for exhibit and promotional purposes related to the 50-Year Celebration.​

Artists retain full ownership and copyright of their work. Watermarked or lower-resolution images are accepted upon request.
Sales Option
USAFA Women organization does not sell artwork or facilitate transactions.
Artists may mark their work “For Sale” and include contact information. All sales must be handled directly between the artist and buyer.
If your piece sells through exhibit exposure, we invite you to consider a voluntary 10% donation to support USAFA Women’s nonprofit programs and future creative efforts.

Want to update a submission? If you'd like to resubmit an image, you can complete a new form for the same artwork. In the artwork title , clearly note that it’s an updated submission (e.g., “Updated Submission – [Artwork Title]”). This helps us ensure the most accurate version is included in the exhibit.
