Commemorative Art

as tribute to the contributions of USAFA women

01

Honoring 50 Years Through Your Art

As we prepare to celebrate 50 years of women at the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2026, we are thrilled to share that the response to our call for art has been incredible. We received many thoughtful, creative, and deeply meaningful submissions from alumnae and supporters across generations — paintings, drawings, photographs, ceramics, quilts, sculptures, digital art, and more—that honor the spirit, history, and legacy of USAFA Women.

All accepted images will be included in a digital gallery on this website. A curated selection will also be printed and featured in an on-site exhibit at the Academy from April through October 2026, including during the anniversary celebration.  Thank you to everyone who shared their art, their story, and their voice. Your work will help make this milestone year unforgettable.

Court of Inspiration

The proposed Court of Inspiration aims to celebrate the achievements of USAFA Women and inspire future generations, recognizing that our successes rest on the shoulders of those who paved the way before us.

The garden has three concentric circles:

1. Passing the Hat Statue in Center – features a female cadet on graduation day giving her hat to a young girl.

2. Circle of Firsts – a series of panels identifying “firsts” for USAFA Women featuring quotes with advice each honoree would give to their younger self or any aspiring young person.

3. Wall of Excellence in Service. Wall with plaques commemorating subsequent USAFA women’s achievements, not just firsts.
