Artist Statement
My work explores the themes of patriotism, faith, self-expression, change, fear and love. I attempt to tell a story with each image. By choosing children as my subject matter, I am able to explore these ideas with the grace I would give a child who has much to learn.
About the Artist
Jamie is an Air Force Veteran and USAFA graduate who has been a working artist before and after her time in service. She has been commissioned to paint thousands of portraits, which currently hang in both public and private collections. She also runs a live event painting business in South Carolina where she lives with her two children, her muses.
